Friday February 18, 2011

Today I am truly grateful.  I am grateful for my health and my friends.  I am grateful to have a wonderful son, and siblings who care, and parents who want to help out.  I am grateful to be working on a paternal family tree, so that I may know my roots and origins.
I am grateful for the business ideas that I have.
I am grateful for the warmer weather and the beautiful glimpse of sun that we are getting.
I am thrilled that my son will get to play with a close friend on Sunday and we are all going to an exhibit about the stars.
I am delighted and grateful that there is great food in the fridge, freezer and pantry, and that I, and my son have all that we need.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Chocolate & the Law of Attraction

Over the last few years, many studies about chocolate have been published. You are now hearing that chocolate can help reduce stress, can help prevent cancer, can improve mood etc...

Some studies were done on dark chocolate, while others were on milk chocolate. As a nutritionist I can tell you this; Most chocolate contains a very high amount of sugar and is not safe for hyper-glycemics or diabetics. Once cocoa is heated it loses most of its anti-oxidant value. Most people though, will find that chocolate tastes great.

Here is how chocolate works with the Law of Attraction, and I would love your feedback on this.

As Campbell once said, "Follow your bliss!" Esther Hicks has said that those are the best words ever uttered by mankind. We also know that most illness, especially the common cold, flu, and most cancers are a cause of stress. Chocolate is enjoyable, and tasty. When you eat a small piece of chocolate, you are feeling joy, and at the same time de-stressing.

The Law of Attraction teaches us to truly FEEL our emotions, and visualize how we want our lives to be. Eating a piece of chocolate helps with feeling that joy. Don't have chocolate too often, or that joy will not be as great. Treats always taste better when enjoyed on few occasions.

If eating chocolate makes you happy, and makes you feel good, do it. Next time you want to succeed, close your eyes, visualize you achieving your goal, and remember the joy you felt when eating that wonderful piece of chocolate!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Your 1st step to success

I can tell you one thing. Everybody can be successful, its the path you take, and how you get on that path that will make the difference. Mistakes will be made, egos will be bruised. Money will be made and lost, but in the end, we can all be successful.

How we define success in very personal. I am successful in my own right. I live in a beautiful home, drive a nice car, and my kids are getting private education. To me that is great success. To somebody else, it is not. I am very happy and grateful for all that I have, and I continue to grow on my success.

The biggest mistake I see most people make, and I too have made this mistake in the past was to spend time, money and effort on "the plan." You get an idea, register a name, tax ID, develop a logo, create spreadsheets etc...

We decide our destiny. We decide our level of success. We DO NOT decide the plan, or how we are going to get there. The road will be put ahead of us, we do not build the road. We say where the X goes on the map, and we decide the treasure that X represents.

This does not mean have no plan at all, it just means you have to change your method of thinking, and the plan will be revealed to you. I decided long ago that I wanted to create a company that sold "lifestyle" products. I started off with creating a name, developed a logo, registered the company, bought product, and ended up owing alot of people alot of money.

My company is now a great success. I sell indoor tanning lotions and skin care creams, as well as sports supplements to tanning salons, gyms, salons and stores. What changed? The way I thought about it.

I woke up one day and started writing what I desired in terms of business. Here is what I wrote that very first day. You will notice that I wrote it as if it already was reality;
I am so very grateful and happy now that my company is a huge success with cheques and orders coming in every day. I am thrilled and grateful to earn $70 000.00 per year.

Once I completed that I took another piece of paper and wrote what I was grateful for. It doesn't matter if it is big or small, and long as the gratitude is sincere. I also started to cut items out of magazines and I stuck them on a peg board, and I pretended as if those were my items. There was a car, a few watches, designer sunglasses and jeans. Nice jewellery for my wife, cool toys for the kids.

I couldn't just sit there and leave it at that, you still need to get things done for the results to appear. So I emailed people I knew in the industry saying I was looking for sales reps and I was offering to pay them commission. Within a week I had 4 sales reps on board. The rest rolled out from there.

I have not yet reached my goals, but I am well on my way, and sales and personal income are increasing week after week.

Your 1 step to success is easy. Think about what you truly want to do. Explain to yourself what YOUR success means. Visualize life as if you already achieved that goal. Do what is needed to get there. Worry about the vision more than the plan.

I would love to hear people share their success stories with me so please comment.
